October 6 - Cannes, Monte Carlo, Eze

Cannes, Monaco (Monte Carlo), Eze

The ship docked at Cannes, France.  We were tendered off the ship to shore at 8:30 a.m., got on a bus and took the mountainside road leading to Monaco.

Monaco

After arriving in Monaco we were taken on a tour of the famous Monte Carlo casino.  Monaco and the casino in Monte Carlo has been visited by royalty and movie stars for decades.  Monte Carlo is the location of the Formula One Monaco Grand Prix.

Following our tour of the casino we walked to another area of Monaco where the government buildings are located and where we had views of the many yachts anchored in the harbor.

EZE

After leaving Monaco we traveled back toward the ship and stopped at the small commune of Eze.  The village is located on top of a mountain.  It was first populated around 2000 BC.

We arrived back at the dock at about 5:00 pm where we were tendered back to the ship for our overnight to Florence and Pisa, Italy.
