This if the final update to our EPIC Road Trip.
On Sunday morning we celebrated Mother's Day with a gift.
We then attended church in the Waukee Ward and headed for North Platte Nebraska (a drive of about 5 1/2 hours).
We arrived in North Platte around 5:30, had dinner and stopped at Dairy Queen for a celebration Blizzard and then relaxed for the evening.
On Monday morning we headed for home ... arriving at about 1:00 p.m.
Total miles for the trip was just over 8,600.
We learned a lot, better understand out ancestors and feel more connected with them.
Our experiences included visiting 3 Civil War sites, 6 church history sites, an uncounted number of cemeteries, museums, town clerk offices, etc.
We are still in love ... after almost 54 years.
