Our day began with an endowment session in the Nauvoo Temple.
It was raining early today ... after the Temple we stopped at the chocolate shop in Nauvoo for some treats.
We drove by the apartment we lived in while we served in Nauvoo four years ago in 2014. The house is at 440 Partridge Street.
We stopped at the Nauvoo Land and Rescords Research Office to get information about Kent's ancestors who lived in Nauvoo in the late 1830's - to early 1840's.
After leaving the Land and Records Office we drove south to Keokuk and then on to West Des Moines for the evening. The Illinois / Iowa border is along the Mississippi River.
Bonnie drove most of the day today. Kent napped in the car. Iowa roads are some of the best we've driven on during our trip. The weather was overcast, but little rain during the drive.
We arrived in Des Moines in late afternoon, but early enough to go the the local mall for some shopping.
