Left the hotel around 9:00 a.m. heading for Waco and MAGNOLIA. Took about an hour to arrive in Waco. Stopped at the Texas Ranger Museum and decided to go to MAGNOLIA first (3 tour buses in the parking lot).
Bonnie was “giddy” about our visit … quite excited. Arrived at Magnolia (parked in the free parking next to the silos). Weather was still cold … around 30.
The Magnolia site has a large area devoted to recreation for children and families, eating tables, and food trucks.

Spent some
time (and money) in the store. The store
is nicely done. We were impressed with the
Christian sayings posted around the shop and store.
The place was full of women … and a few men accompanying their partners.

We got in line to go into the bakery and bought come cupcakes and a muffin for later in the day.
We then went to the Texas Ranger Museum. An interesting museum with lots of memorabilia and information about the Texas rangers … their history and many artifacts. The museum included memorials to many of the rangers who were killed in the line of duty.
We went back to Magnolia to get lunch from the
food trucks … we sat at the outside picnic tables … it was chilly (about 40
degrees and windy).
After lunch we started back to Burleson to visit the Burleson Historic Museum (arriving there just before closing at 4:30) … perhaps the highlight of the visit there was the “historic” older women who staff the museum.

In the evening we went to the movie (Jumanji) and stopped at Firehouse Subs for dinner
