April 21 - Scranton, New York to Wallingford, Connecticut

We didn't leave Moosic, PA this morning until about Noon.
Moosic is a small town just outside of Scranton.
Moosic is situated in the Pocono mountains.  There is a ski resort there.

We decided to spend some time  catching up and recovering from the days before.
Long days on the road, etc.

The weather and travel today was pleasant.  Temperature was in the 60's.

We arrived in Wallingford at about 4:30.

Some notes on the trip so far.
  • We've traveled about 3,300 miles so far.
  • We have crossed 13 states and seen some beautiful country.
  • Seeing the places where ancestors lived, finding additonal records, seeing Civil War sites and locations is the experience we had hoped for.
  • Gas prices in the eastern states are about $3.00 a gallon ... it was $2.40 in Colorado when we left.
  • The weather has been great ... mostly sunny days with only a little rain.
  • Seeing the differences as we travel from state to state is interesting.  The topography, trees, stores, people vary as we go from place to place ... it's all good.

We are having fun together and look forward to the rest of the journey.
